The Senior Vice President, Market & Client Insights is an influential thought leader responsible for positioning PatientPoint as an analytical leader in the industry; strengthening client engagement, instilling confidence and belief in the point-of-care channel, and supporting increased overall revenue . It will be critical for this person to identify emerging industry trends though meeting and engaging with clients on a regular basis to glean insights, closely partner with internal functions and client-facing teams, be the voice of PatientPoint at industry forums & conferences, as well as be immersed in the business of our strategic accounts.

The person we are seeking must have a strong strategic and consultative approach. Has excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Is comfortable speaking to a crowd and possesses confidence in industry data. They will draw upon their experience in market research and data analytics as a foundation for building a compelling rationale for continued investment in the Point of Care channel and PatientPoint product solutions.

  • Client Business Mastery - A critical aspect of this role is credibility. Clients need to know that this person has "walked the walk". Someone that has climbed the ranks inside the industry and can speak from a place of authority. As such, a significant part of the role will rely on this person's ability to interpret multiple data sets, as well as apply industry insights and brand strategies to help craft a compelling story that convinces clients of PatientPoint's ability to deliver forecast altering results.
  • Technical Expertise - This individual must bring deep knowledge and experience in applying a wide range of research and analytic methodologies that will bring clarity and drive action. Working as an extension of the PatientPoint Research, Analytics and Data Science teams, this person will collaborate with best-in-class internal data science/data ops teams, will commission qual and quant research studies, look for correlations, and identify trends in the data - for the expressed purpose of driving the business forward. This person must also stay ahead of the curve on issues which may impact the industry, such as the increase adoption of marketing mix modeling, as well as collaborating to find unique and innovative ways to measure non-traditional Rx campaigns.
  • Expert Data Storyteller - This person will be asked to serve as one of the "voices" of PatientPoint. The VP, Market and Client Insights will be a regular at industry conferences, participate in expert panel discussions, represent PatientPoint positively in the media, and author editorials & white papers. An industry influencer that will extend PatientPoint's thought-leadership position in the market. As such, a mastery-level communicator (both written and orally) is a must.
  • Client Relationship Building - Be prepared to engage frequently and authentically with PatientPoint clients (Pharma, Biotech, HC Retail) to develop more strategic and consultative engagements and relationships. On a client-by-client basis, determine where to focus relationship-building efforts, based on who the key decision-makers might be, and based on who may need more education/information to gain more confidence spending in the PoC channel and against PatientPoint solutions. Help PatientPoint continue to be a trusted 'go-to advisor' for clients across all their major POC business opportunities.
  • Collaboration - Work closely with PatientPoint Sales and Internal Support functions (i.e., Research and Analytics, Sales Enablement, Pricing, etc.) to support efforts to drive sponsor new business and renewals. This is a team effort, and the more PatientPoint colleagues' partner together, the more likely the Company is to present and deliver successful solutions to our clients.

  • Ability to drive incremental spend against the PoC channel and PatientPoint product solutions
  • Awareness of PatientPoint as thought partner (for instance)
    • Invitation to participate in panel discussions.
    • Requests to contribute to trade publication interviews,

  • Contribute to the insights that are used to drive product/capability enhancements based on trends (innovation)

  • Research, Insights, Analytics, BI - We are seeking skilled, highly strategic pharma industry professional with deep experience in Market Research, Patient and Customer Insights, and Analytics. Someone who can speak from a position of authority on emerging issues facing our industry, such as Marketing Mix Modeling, Media Effectiveness, Attribution, Audience Quality, Shopper Loyalty Programs, with an ability to assess a broad range of critical data to capture the engagement and interest of our clients.
  • Life Sciences Experience - This candidate must have deep, foundational experience working with Pharma and Life Science companies. Target companies include J&J, Pfizer, Merck, AbbVie, BMS, Abbott Labs, CVS, P&G, Pfizer, Amgen, Eli Lilly, et al. The key is having supported and advised business partners (Marketing, Sales) who were heavily invested in targeting and influencing both patients and Healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, et al) at multiple points within the health care journey.
  • Agency/Supplier Side - Ideally, we would like to engage prospects who have a diverse background - with most of their experience coming from healthcare agency or a world-class supplier of intelligence, analytics, or research for Pharma clients. Companies like IVQIA, Publicis Health, Initiative, IPSOS, Definitive Healthcare, Allscripts, McCann Health, IBM Watson, and others who provide insights and analytics that support media and marketing effectiveness for Pharma clients.
  • Capability-Building - This role will require someone who knows how to identify the resources (people, technology, data) and capabilities required to deliver high quality solutions and services, identify where there may be gaps, and then build a plan to optimize, create or acquire those missing capabilities. Preference will be shown to the candidate with a proven history of building internal data science / data operations teams.
  • Education - Ideally, this candidate will hold an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Research/Analytics, Communications, Life Sciences (Biology, Pre-Med) or a similar field. Additionally, advanced degrees, like a Masters (in a relevant area of study), or an MBA, would be an additional asset. That said, the priority for this role is bringing relevant experience, technical acumen, effective presentation skills, proof of business impact, and a great attitude.

Base Salary band: $200,000 - $280,000
